QB Connector App / Shopify Connector App Not Syncing Purchases and Sales with Shopify

I have QB Enterprise 2023 and had QB POS. We have now moved to shopify retail POS and having a hell of a time getting the QB connector app to sync shopify with sales and purchases with the QB accounts designated during migration. Products, customers, and vendors sync it appears, but not any sales or purchase vouchers. I have no error messages on either QB side or Shopify side. I have an active token for the QB connector app and status is active in QB. Shopify side is active and sync button is working, but at the bottom it shows vendors, customers and products as synced. Sales and purchases shows 0 as synced. I have spend hours and hours on the phone with QB tech support (very helpful) and shopify tech support (not helpful at all) and no one can get this fixed, not even my dedicated shopify migration specialist (shoppinpal) is able to fix this and we are on week 3 now. He suggested syncing in summary mode even though I have enterprise and less than 14500 rows. This also did not work. Is no one else having this issue? QB phone tech support says they have done all they can on their end and its a shopify issue. Shopify can't solve the issue either. At this point I have not been able to add enter a deposit because none of my sales are coming over into QB, I can't pay my bills because my receiving purchases are not transferring over to QB and sales tax is going to be coming due, but of course that is not showing up in QB because my sales aren't transferring over to QB. This is a nightmare. I am going to have to manually enter all this stuff in QB so I can pay my bills, pay my sales tax, and go my bank reconciliations at the end of the month. If I have to do that, then what is the point of the QB connector app with shopify? Its not integrated at all at that point, which is the whole reason we went with shopify when QB quit the QB POS on oct 1.

Let's make sure we can fix your QuickBooks Connector app issue, BWJ1300.

Technically, you can sync the QuickBooks connector to Shopify without any issues. If you're having issues with the integration, there are a few possible reasons why this is happening.

However, if you're still experiencing the same, you really need to contact the Shopify Support Team so they can check if there are issues or known bugs on their side. Since QuickBooks only receives data from Shopify, we don't have control over it.

Additionally, learn how you can customize the data, and add or delete columns to get the right data for your business needs. Go through this article for more details: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Desktop

Thank you. I have already been through that solution several times with no avail. QB tech support is awesome, but this is some issue with shopify and they are not solving it. I cant even get them to let me speak to a tier 2 tech support. They dont have glance or any other option to look at what is going with my specific situation. They tell me to send them log files so they can resolve it, then never get back to me with a solution.

I am having the same problem.  I have Quickbooks Pro.  Additionally, the sync is very slow.  I also selected detail as opposed to summary.  I don't know how to change it.  My item list now has duplicates of the same item with a 12 digit number as part of the name.  The number self populates.  The same thing is happening to my vendors and customers.  Quicbooks is now a mess!  I am getting no help from Shopify or Quickbooks.  I can't do bank deposits, credit card deposits are going into the bank but nothing in Quickbooks to reconcile.  I need help!

@kikiobf

the sync is very slow

Do you have a specific connector? Try using another connector to compare the performance.

I use the same one that BWJ1300 uses.  The one that was recommended by Shopify and Quickbooks for the migration from Quickbooks POS to Shopify.

@BWJ1300 Are you making any progress?  Is there anyone out there that is having success?  I am looking at other POS options.  Also, trying to find someone that i can hire to help with this nightmare.  I need my POS information to sync with Quickbooks desktop!

Have you gotten a fix yet?  We are doing the same thing and are on week 6 of nothing transferring.  I have been unable to post payments, see purchases, pay invoices etc. and its beyond frustrating.  We have been working with support and have even changed to summary mode but the only thing that seems to transfer is each inventory item in duplicate that I don't need.  I am at a loss and no one at Shopify seems to understand that I can't run my business.  The ONLY reason we went with them was the integration from QBPOS.

I have not been successful with Shopify QB web connector.  I bought Cartspan.  It is not the perfect solution but it is working ok.  It only brings over the orders.  It has created a lot more work for me in Quickbooks.  I am going to have to use it until Shopify gets things working.  If anyone has another solution that works like QB and QBPOS I would love to hear about it.

We have the same issues.  Did you get any resolution? [email address removed]

We did fix this , we original did it in detail mode, and it was way to much data, when we switched to summary mode, and ran it, it worked fine.  Now a couple months later we switched back to detail(full) and it works great.

Get the support on bottom click the support tab and fill out form, the helped big time.

Hope that helps,

Good to know. Its about a year and a half late though. We switched to lightspeed and it worked great from the gitgo! Tech support is good too.
