Is there any update on when patches will be available so that QB can run on Mac OS Sonoma?

Which year version do you have? As far as I know, until this morning they have released the patch for QBD 2021-2023. Users also report that they can run QBD 2024 on Sonoma.

    QBD 2019 is outdated. I am not sure they will release any patch for it. You can wait until next week to make sure. Ultimately you may want to consider using the trial version of QBD 2023 to have time to consider your options later.

      Myself and many other small business owners have relied on QB 2019 which up until now has performed flawlessly.  The suggested solutions force us into a subscriber model that will cost us every year.

       

      I strongly urge the Quickbooks team to patch QB Desktop for Mac 2019 so it can operate with the Sonoma Mac OS.

        Last resort, if you don't mind to use the trial version of QB Desktop Windows, you can use it for good on Parallels.

        Help! I'm in the same boat as others regarding QB and Mac Sonoma. I have 2020 and can't open the Home page. It keeps crashing! How can I override it?

          Hi @smlbz - Try these steps:

           

          1. 1) To get the app to launch without opening any company file hold down the option key while launching the app. This prevents QuickBooks form opening your previously used company file.
          2. 2) Then select your company file from the "No Company Open" Window.  Hold down the command key while opening the file. This prevents the last used windows from opening.
          3. 3) Then go into QuickBooks->Preferences. Select the Toolbar & Tabs icon in the 3rd row down and then uncheck the Use Tabbed Windows checkbox.
          4. 4) Avoid opening the home page.

          Apple has released Sonoma 14.1 a few days ago. Try updating your MacOS.
