Yesterday QBPOS V19 wouldn't open on my server and the error stated windows could not find the qbposshell.exe file.  Does anyone have any experience in fixing this?  My two floor stations are currently running.  Any assistance is appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know, Hannahsbtl. I'll help rectify errors of the missing file in your QuickBooks Point of Sale.

When accessing your company data in QuickBooks, the error message you've received may be due to your file being relocated or renamed.

Additionally, this error can occur if your QuickBooks file has been removed or your computer isn't connected to the location where the file is stored. To help you resolve this, you can run the repair tool to fix common errors in your file. To do this:

  1. Close your QBDT.
  2. Download the most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to access the tool hub.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend performing the clean install process to refresh your QBDT program. This method requires uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it. For detailed steps, follow Step 2 of this article: Reinstall QuickBooks Desktop.

Once everything looks good, you can utilize this guide to help review the accuracy of your data entered into your file: Understand reports.

I'll leave this thread available so you can always reply below for any additional queries when managing errors in your account. Stay safe.
