QB Pro Desktop Version

We are a small municipality and absolutely hate the online QB program. We are hearing that QB Desktop versions are being phased out. We have a license but would like to purchase a new license as our current one is under a former employees personal name. Is it possible to buy a new 2024 license and still be able to purchase the payroll program and support? We don't want to change to a different accounting program but we will be forced to because we will not be able to deal with the online version. Any help is appreciated

    You can still purchase QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus and Enhanced Payroll. They will support them until 2027. You have to call Intuit salesperson to subscribe. Another option, you can contact a reputable partner to get a legit license and get $100 cashback.

    So, purchasing from a reputable source, do you just get a key to download it?

    You'll download the installer file from Intuit's servers, activate the license code they provide, and you'll find the license code in CAMPS. You can also ask to pay for the license after you install and run it without any problems.

      You can still purchase a new 2024 license in QuickBooks Desktop and still be able to buy the payroll program and support. QuickBooks has extended the deadline from July 31, 2024, to September 30, 2024.

       

      When purchasing the license, you can call our Sales team. This way, they can guide you in setting up your account. You can go to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/. Then select Talk to sales.

      Thank you for replying. I don't need help setting it up as I am very experienced in it. My main concern was being able to purchase the license new and still being supported. So, if customers can only purchase until September 30th, what happens after that? Are you discontinuing the desktop versions all together and if so, how long will this new version we buy be supported?

        Thanks for getting back here in the thread, @Thassell1963. I'll provide more information about purchasing a new QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) license.

         

        As the previous representative shared, new customers can purchase different QBDT licenses until September 30, 2024. After the said extension, QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Enhanced Payroll products will no longer be available to new US customers. Instead, Intuit offers them the Enterprise version of the program and assisted payroll service.

         

        In addition, existing users who were able to purchase their QBDT licenses before September 30 can continue to renew their subscriptions and receive product and security updates, as well as support.
