Qbks desktop for MAC crashing when entering "New ITEM"

Hey there, @360HC! I've got a set of steps that can help you prevent crashes in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac when entering new items.

First, let's restart your computer to give it a fresh start. After that, ensure to update your QBDT for Mac program to the latest release. This will ensure you have the newest components and bug fixes.

Once that's done, create a statement and check if the program crashes again. If it does, we'll use the Verify utility to identify any data that needs fixing. If any issues are found, we can fix them using the Rebuild tool. 

Here's how:

1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
2. Choose Verify Data.
3. If a problem is detected, go back to the File menu and select Utilities again.
4. Click on Rebuild Data.
5. Hit Run Verify Data again.
6. If a problem persists, restore a backup.

If these steps don't work, we'll try running your computer in Safe Boot mode to see if there's a conflict between QBDT and any other installed software. Here's how:

1. Shut down your computer.
2. Press the Power button, then hold down the Shift key on your keyboard until you see your Desktop.
3. Open QBDT and perform the same task that was causing the crashes.
4. Return to normal mode by restarting your computer without pressing anything.
5. If the issue persists in normal mode, it's best to contact an IT professional.
