We use Quickbooks Enterprise heavily in the office, but want the convenience of Quickbooks Online for our Estimators in the field. Any chance they communicate together or sync?

QB Desktop and QB Online are 2 different platforms. You can setup a simple private cloud solution with your QB Desktop at your office to combine LAN users and remote users working on the same file in mult-user mode. The cost is $22.5/month/remote user access and you can use in turns if required.

Hello there, Gambit.

I agree with 4Gal that QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and QuickBooks Online (QBO) are two different platforms designed to work independently from each other.

As a workaround, you can set up a cloud-hosting with your QBDT to remote users working on the same file in multi-user mode. With cloud access helps boost productivity, enhance collaboration, and lets your team work from anywhere.

I'll keep an eye out for your reply. And if you have any other QBDT-related concerns, feel free to include them in the comments. We're here to assist you 24/7.

QBDT user interface is not user-friendly when used on a tablet or mobile device IMO. It's too "chunky". I need all the capabilities of Enterprise in the office and a stripped-down user-friendly version in the field. And I need them to sync.
