Welcome to the Community, mccgp. I'm here to provide insights to help you access your bank register in QuickBooks.

Typically, the error occurs when there is an issue with the connection between the software and your bank's website. We can perform troubleshooting steps to resolve this concern.

To start, open your QuickBooks Online(QBO) account in an incognito or private browser. We do this to rule out any browser-related issues. It will make your browser work better and faster. You can follow the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

If it works, let's clear the cache in the regular browser. It will delete any previously saved browsing data that may have contributed to the problem. Kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click More.
  3. Choose More Tools, then Clear browsing data.
  4. Add a time range. Select All time to delete everything.
  5. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data.
  6. Select Clear data.

Otherwise, you can proceed by using other compatible browsers.

After everything is in order, you can consult the following article for future guidance:

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with about your QBO bank register. I'm always here to help.
