QBO - Importing Suppliers and "Other Names" from Desktop

I need to import my Suppliers and "Other Names" from Desktop. I cannot see where I would import Other Names (i.e. Payees where no invoice is received).  I do not want to import them with Suppliers as that will just give me an extended Supplier list. (I am aware of the search function which assists with getting to the correct supplier).

There appears to be a lot of information on not being able to change name categories at a later stage so I would like to get this correct from the outset.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for getting back to me, csacs100.

The closest option is to add them as Vendors. Then, create an Expense or Check when you make a payment.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about QuickBooks.

Hi csacs100,

At the moment, importing Other Names in QuickBooks Online is unavailable. See article: What data doesn't convert from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

We'd like to hear your thoughts about adding more options in the import section. You can send feedback to our product engineers here: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/.

Feel free to reach out to us if there's anything else you need help with QuickBooks. Thanks.

Thank you Renjolyn,

How does QBO deal with Payees who don't invoice? Surely you don't have to re-key the Payee name every time you make a payment?
