Hello,

One of our Client falls under the Michigan state and needs to enable the autopayment from QuickBooks for payment of payroll tax. Is there any case there the QuickBooks appoints the Authorized representative for the payment of Client Taxation.

My client received a letter from State tax stating the "Acknowledgement of authorization- Employer representative" and the Representative details are as below:
[Removed]

As per my understanding, It seems the payroll company from Intuit, which is working on their behalf.

Need to know if my understanding is correct of this is some other thing.

Thank You!

Thank you for posting your concern about the autopayment of payroll tax here in the Community, @vishvajeet.

I'm here to provide clarification on your client's letter from the state tax agency.

The representative details have been removed from your post for security purposes. Based on the information you provided, the letter your client received contains the details that were used during the registration process for Intuit's payroll services. The information provided in the letter, such as the representative's name and address, was used to establish the client's account and authorize Computing Resources Inc. as the employer representative for tax-related matters.

There are cases in which you pay tax payments outside our payroll system. If this happens, you can use this article to record the details in QuickBooks: Recording prior tax payments.

Lastly, you can configure an auto payroll. If you haven't done this, you can access this link for more detailed instructions: Set up and manage your Auto Payroll.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about the payroll taxes. I'll be happy to help you some more.
