Quickbook updates

Is there anyone else that doesnt trust Quickbooks with all the mandatory updates, that block access to the software program you paid for, and just want to do the bookkeeping for your company, but are bombarded with mandatory updates? If you don't agree to their updates, you are denied access to your bookeeping which uses the software you thought you bought and paid for? 

What is wrong with this company?!  Dont they have something better to do with their time than block me for not wanting their wonky updates when i just need to invoice a client?!

    What kind of block access do you mean?

    Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

    Hello there. I hear your sentiments. I can see how difficult this has been. Let me make it up to you by providing details about the QuickBooks update.

     

    QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) regularly launches mandatory updates to improve program functionality. This patch helps to ensure your company file will work efficiently and prevent encountering errors while working. That said, I've got here a list of other important reasons for the updates:

     

    • Admin users are now able to edit the user ID while signing into the Intuit account. Also, they request access to a Secondary Admin (Intuit account) role.
    • QuickBooks Desktop now supports 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC print and e-Filing.
    • Improved and make sign-up process for QuickBooks Payments easier.

    Since we upgraded to 2024, whenever there is an update I begin the update process but it stalls mid way. I don't have time to not have access to quickbooks so I have been cancelling. Now I can't even get into quickbooks.

     

    I am happy to do the updates but can't be locked out when they stall out.
