Quickbooks 2019 says Windows Server 2011 compatible, force installs .NET 4.7 which is not
So first off, the relevant Quickbooks 2019 compatibility article.
It indicates that the desktop client and Database Server are compatible with Windows Server 2011 Standards.
Problem. Installing Quickbooks 2019 forces (without asking) an install of .NET 4.7 as part of the install process; this does not appear to be something one can stop, and there's certainly no option to decline. Whereas Windows Server 2011 Standard does not support higher than .NET 4.5.2 because it runs Exchange Server 2010, and *installing .NET 4.7 WILL break Exchange Server*.
Is the article incorrect and in need of revision, or is there a way to use QuickBooks Pro 2019 without upgrading to .NET 4.6/4.7?
