QUICKBOOKS CHECKING IS A SCAM RAN BY GREENDOT

We made a payment to amex from QB (not QB apparently) checking and it did not go through.   It then re tried and the second time it went through on QB checking $15k but Amex never got it.

It has been over 3 months and we have received 0 help.

Literally NONE.

QB checking is a scam.  Ask anyone from actual QB and they will tell you.

Yes, I recommend running as fast as you can from QuickBooks Checking.

Get a normal bank account at a real bank. One that actually has customer service, normal security policies, and won't sit on you money while 'reviewing it for your security and safety' for months.

We are having to file suit.

Let us know if anyone else is having an experience with QB Checking and or GreenDot that is negative.  We would love to hear from you and see if others are having the same experience.

It is criminal what they are doing and I cannot believe Intuit would make such a mistake.

@3031   If you're seriously going to go after Intuit/ QB and/ or GreenDot, I suggest starting a thread of it's own.  There are a LOT of customer that have had their money stolen by QB/ GreenDot, and will happily join your lawsuit.

Hi Kurt,

Unfortunately, when you call QuickBooks support, they claim there is nothing they can do and redirect us to Green Dot. However, Green Dot has been involved in multiple legal issues and has a track record of poor customer service, making resolution nearly impossible.

Green Dot has faced significant legal and regulatory challenges, which raise concerns about their business practices and reliability:

  • Regulatory Violations: In July 2024, the Federal Reserve fined Green Dot $44 million for engaging in unfair and deceptive practices. The violations included misleading consumers about fees and obstructing access to funds.

  • Shareholder Lawsuits: A lawsuit filed in July 2024 accuses Green Dot executives of misrepresenting the company's financial health, concealing declining performance, and artificially inflating stock prices.

  • Consumer Complaints: The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has received numerous complaints regarding Green Dot’s lack of customer support, unauthorized fund withdrawals, and account access issues

In our case, we are being forced to take legal action because Green Dot refuses to provide any evidence or documentation regarding where our money went and has outright refused to issue a refund. Their lack of accountability makes them a terrible financial partner.

Given Intuit’s partnership with Green Dot and their refusal to assist customers in resolving these serious issues—even though it is called QuickBooks Checking—we are planning to switch away from Intuit products entirely and may also file suit for false advertising claiming this was a business checking account when in fact it is just a debit card transaction company. Their choice to align with a company facing multiple lawsuits and regulatory actions is extremely concerning and obviously done with little to no care for the experience of the customer.
