Quickbooks Desktop Customer Center

Hello.

I have 500 active customers, roughly. In the Customer Center - "Customers & Jobs" tab, I have the "Name" column and "Ship To" column. Selecting a customer by name is easy... I can type the first one or two letters of the name, or search for the name in the field on top of the tab.

 

My problem is, I need to select customers by the "Ship To" address. Neither of the selection methods above work. I have to order the "Ship To" address from low to high, and scroll to find then select the customer. This takes way too long.

I'm here to share some insights about the Customer Center in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

I replicated this on my end, then used the search tool in the Customer & Jobs tab and was able to filter the customers with the Ship To address. Just make sure to type in at least one word from the Ship To address and then click the 🔍︎.

 

If it still doesn't show, we can perform troubleshooting steps to check and fix any data damage issues. To do this, we'll run the Verify and Rebuild Tools.

 

To Verify:

 

  1. Go to the Window menu in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
  2. Select Close All.
  3. Then go to the File menu.
  4. Select Utilities.
  5. Click Verify Data.

 

To Rebuild:

 

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click Rebuild Data.
