Quickbooks Desktop Mac - Currency Changes

Hi All -

 

I live in Switzerland, my company is based in the US and I have all US clients. My Invoice template has not changed since I built it... many years ago. I recently updated QB to 22.0. R5.2 and macOS to Ventura 13.6. My invoices are all now showing CHF (Swiss Franc) as the currency - but the last batch I did before updating showed USD $. 

 

Is there a currency setting buried somewhere? It seems it something changed and it is now following my system settings for region and using CHF, but I cannot override that in QuickBooks.

Hello, bmike. 

 

Your country or region can affect how date, time, and currency are presented as you use macOS. You may have set yours to Switzerland. That's why your invoice templates show CHF (Swiss Franc) as the currency instead of USD after updating QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac. Let's change the region on your Mac computer to the United States (US) to put everything back where it used to be.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Choose the Apple menu.
  2. Select System Settings, click General in the sidebar, and then click Language & Region on the right.
  3. Go to Region and choose the United States.
  4. Save if necessary.

 

When you're done, open QBDT for Mac (refresh (log out and log in) if necessary) and then create an invoice to check the currency used. When everything is all set, recreate your invoices (those with incorrect currency).
