Quickbooks Enterprise will not switch to single user mode if someone has customized report open
A client of mine has QB Enterprise that integrates with other software. Sometimes the system forgets about the integration and you have to sign in in single user mode to re-enable it.
Problem is if someone has a report open and they made any changes to it switching to single user cannot forcibly log them off. It will sit there with a message on their screen asking "do you want to save changes you made". So if that user happens to be away from their desk it will just sit there. The only way around it I have found is to logon to the database server and stop and restart the database service. Which accomplishes the purpose, just can't be the best thing to do. Has anyone seen this, is there some setting I can change or a workaround?
