Quickbooks Nonprofit

I use QB Premier Nonprofit edition 2020 (desktop) and it is working fine. I understand the product is no more supported and is discontinued. However, the options I was sold did not match what i was doing, so I discontinued the online versions and am using the old desktop version.

2 questions:

1. Can i download the discontinued software to a new computer? How? 

2. Anything you recommend for a small nonprofit with no employee and no payroll, very little day-to-day operations? I basically receive deposits, have a few expenses and prepare reports every month (Balance sheet, bank reconciliation, P&L budget vs Actual, etc.). The new online versions I was sold by Quickbooks were too broad for my use. The language was all wrong (income vs. donation, etc.) and I could not figure out how to customize, search features were no good at all. 

BTW, I use Quickbooks Enetrprise for work and use all the functions it comes with (payroll, etc.)

Yes, we can still download the discontinued software to a new computer, GB SF. I'll guide you in obtaining the program and provide information when managing QuickBooks for nonprofit businesses.

 

You can download the QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2020 to another computer and continue tracking transactions for your nonprofit organization. However, all QBDT 2020 versions, security patches and updates, live technical supports, and other Intuit services integrated with the program are no longer supported since this edition has already been discontinued. With this, please secure a backup copy of your company file so you can restore them anytime.

 

Additionally, you have to ensure your new computer meets the compatible system requirements when downloading the program so you can have a seamless process of doing tasks on your account. Thus, refer to these steps to help you acquire the program for your new device:

 

  1. Go to this link: Download QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select a country, product (QBBT Premier), and version (2020). Then, hit Search.
  3. Click on Download, and locate the downloaded program on your local file.
  4. Once ready, you can restore your backup file and follow the on-screen process so you can keep going in completing your tasks.

Thank you, this totally worked. I was worried the version I downloaded did not say "nonprofit" but that option was provided during download!

Login to CAMPS and find your license code there to reinstall it on the new machine. You can also download the installer file in CAMPS.
