QuickBooks Online - Creating Multiple Invoices not working for some users

I have one user who is no longer able to use the "Multiple Invoices" option under "Create Invoice."

The user was able to go to sales, then invoices, then create invoice drop down, then multiple invoices. From there she was able to import multiple invoices without issue. I can still do this without issue, she is the only user I know of that cannot.

If she uses the import invoices option from the create invoice drop down, it will not let her import properly without creating all new customers.

Is anyone else having this issue? Have you found a fix or a way around?

We're glad to see you here, @Cody33

Currently, there's no reported issue with QuickBooks Online (QBO) being unable to create multiple invoices. No worries, I know a couple of ways we can perform to get around the issue.

First, let's check if the user has enough access to create invoices in QBO. It's possible that their permissions have changed, that's why they don't have the option to create multiple invoices in the Sales tab section. To confirm, we can check the Audit log to see if there are changes.

If there are no modifications, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to rule out the possibility of a browser issue.

Sometimes, unusual behaviors, such as missing features, are caused by accumulated cache stored in your browser. To refresh your QBO, we can log in to your account through a private window. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Then, let's create multiple invoices again. If it works, let's return to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies or use a different supported browser. It can be a temporary issue with QBO or the browser you're currently using.

As a workaround, we can create multiple invoices using the Batch transactions feature in QBO Advanced. This way, we can work on various invoices in a single window and send them in one go.

When your customer pays an invoice, we can record it in QBO. By doing so, your invoices will not display as open in your reports, and guarantees your accounts are balanced.
