Quickbooks Online Mileage Tracker

The mileage tracker feature is essential for users who need to keep track of trips and vehicle information throughout the year and to have all the necessary details for tax deductions, NR2024.

I'll share with you the usage of mileage tracking in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The app will start running once you turn on the setup for auto-tracking and creating a trip through your QBO app or mobile phone (IOS or Android).

Here's how for IOS:

1. Go to Menu, then tap Mileage.
2. Tap Auto-tracking.
3. In the Manage section, tap Vehicles, then Add Vehicles.
4. Enter the vehicle's name and model.
5. Click Save.

 For Android :

1. Go to Menu, then tap Mileage.
2. Tap + New, then tap Vehicle.
3. Tap Manage Vehicles, then tap Add Vehicle.
4. Note: If you need to update an existing vehicle’s info, tap the vehicle you need to update. Make the changes, then tap Save.
5. Enter your vehicle’s info.
6. Tap Save.

The app will automatically stop tracking once you reach the designated location from your mileage trips. There's no option to add specific time to QBO mileage, only location, business purpose, and vehicle type.
