Does anyone know how to grant a Project Manager access to the Project Profitability Report in QuickBooks Online without giving them access to the financial and/or payroll data?

It's wonderful to have you here today, @User74. I've got some ways to help you grant access to your Project Manager for the Project Profitability report. Let me walk you through the process, which varies slightly depending on whether you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced or Plus.

In QBO Advanced, you'll want to assign the Accounts Receivable Manager role to ensure your Project Manager access to the Project Profitability report without exposing sensitive financial and payroll data.

It's my pleasure to show you how:

  1. On the upper right corner, look for the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage users.
  3. Under the Roles tab, search for the Accounts receivable manager.
  4. Once done, click Save Role.

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Plus, the process is slightly different, as you'll be adding a new user instead.

Here's how:

  1. On the upper right corner, look for the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage users.
  3. Under the Users tab, click the Add user option.
  4. In the Personal info field, enter the necessary details of the user you want to add.
  5. Once done, tap the Select a role dropdown.
