QUICKBOOKS POS

I'm using quickbooks pos and I have never connected any credit card processing to the system or done any data transfer. Now when I attempt to reverse a transaction I get a box that say "credit/debit card transactions are no longer supported, update to latest version". I'm not even trying to reverse a credit card transaction, it is a cash transaction.  I was told that this would not be the case and just bought a new version. Oddly one workstation still allows it.  Anyone experiencing this and figure out what might be causing it?

If my recall is correct, it is what caused me to upgrade to v.19 a couple years ago.  The same issue, not being able to reverse transactions.  Thanks for any help.
