Quickest way to create a LARGE class list
Hello again,
I'm trying to set up the Class list in my Quickbooks Desktop Accountant Edition. I'm curious if there is a way to import the class list from an Excel file? The Google wasn't much help as there was a bunch of ads, and conflicting information. The issue I'm currently having is we have multiple departments for which the Expenses need to be split. And then the BOD wants to see them broken down further. For example.
Class 1
Class 1 - Payroll
Class 1 - Payroll/Wages
Class 1a. Wage (Expense)
Class 1b Taxes (Expense)
Class 1c Benefits (Expense)
Class 1d workers Comp Insurance
Class 1e Wages (Liability)
Class 1f Taxes (Liability)
Class 1g Benefits (Liability)
Class 1 - Revenue
Class 1h Client Billing
Class 1i Donations
This is only just a bit. Each class has around 5-6 Sections each one of those divided up 3-5 times. And there are a total of 22 classes. That is hundreds of entries and with no ability to copy and paste classes (at least that I've seen) it is going to take me weeks, if not longer to enter them all in manually.
Please help me figure out the quickest way to do this.
