Read only access to view in quickbooks advanced

Hello

I am trying to add a user to QuickBooks advanced to have read only view access to everything.

I keep reading to use the Standard User, but this option does not appear in QB Advanced online.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Jen

Hi there, jmizener.

The standard user role can access certain areas and make changes to your account in QuickBooks Online(QBO) Advanced. For now, the user role that can read-only or view is the View company reports.

These are the reports that can only be viewed:

  • Sales reports.
  • Expense reports.
  • Management reports.
  • Custom reports.

However, adding a user role that can read-only access is unavailable. I've got steps in sending feedback to our product developers to inform them about your request and implement this feature in the future.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Press Next.

Once done, our designated team will review it. You can track your future requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

You can visit our article to know what your users can see and do within different areas of your QuickBooks Online account: Add and manage custom roles in QBO Advanced

Feel free to comment if you have more concerns about managing your user roles in QBO Advanced. I'm always here to help you out.
