Recovering a Week of Data After a Crash

Hi,

I went to complete a financial report for our township and my quickbooks crashed. I save a local backup about every week or so. I pulled that up but I last saved a backup on March 24th. Now, all of the checks and the deposits I've made since then are gone. How do I recover this? I have used the restore and verify to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

RL

Hi there, RL26.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I appreciate you for performing some steps to resolve the issue of recovering your data in QuickBooks Desktop. With this, I'll be providing other troubleshooting instructions to ensure you can view your checks and the deposits on the program.

Since you've mentioned that the last saved backup was on March 24th, there's no option to directly restore all the transactions starting March 25 up to the recent.

However, I suggest using the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix any file damage in your QuickBooks account. This way, you can view all the entries you've recorded in your program. You can open this artilcle to see the steps on how to perform the process: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to view details on how you can customize any reports in QBDT to personalize the data that you want to see: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Fill me in if you have additional questions about managing your data or transactions in QuickBooks. I'm always around to help, RL26. Have a good one!

@RL26

If you can find .TLG file and .QBW.adr file, we may help to recover your data.
