Removing Inactive Non Inventory Items

Removing Non Inventory Items  Couple of questions.  Any help would be appreciated.  

1. If you delete old non inventory items will it have an effect on old estimates, invoices, etc?  Basically, will it effect the old data.

2. Also, does this have to be done one by one.

Items, assuming they have been used in the past, are either active or inactive.  You can not delete something that is used in a transaction in the past

Thanks for the response.  Much appreciated.  I found that out as well via testing.  Just have to leave the inactive.
