Request a Deposit on Estimates

I will be offering my knowledge to help you with your concern regarding requesting a deposit on estimates in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, the option to require a deposit for an estimate in QBO is unavailable because an estimate is a non-posting entry. To work around this, you'll need to convert an estimate into an invoice to process a payment.

You can also add a link (this is automatically converted into text) to the Note to customer box which customers can use to send their payments. They simply need to copy the text and paste it into the website's URL.

Additionally, we value your feedback. I recommend sending a feature request through the Feedback section within QuickBooks, our product development team will review your suggestions and may consider adding them in future updates. To submit your suggestion:

1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
2. Type in your product suggestions.
3. Select Next to submit.
