Sales Orders

We just started using Sales Orders (Work Orders), when I convert a Sales Order (Work Order) to a packing slip, the Item, Description or Quantity does not print on the packing slip? The sales order marks as filled and closed.

Am I missing a step or handling this wrong?

Any suggestions are welcome!!

We can start by troubleshooting your QuickBooks Desktop account, Julia. Since you're having difficulties printing your packing slip, allow me to provide the complete steps below.

To refresh your data and verify the most common issues on your end, we’ll begin by verifying your company data.

Here's how:

  1. Close all open windows in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account.
  2. Go to File on the menu bar, then select Utilities.
  3. Choose Verify Data.
  4. Based on the results:
  • QuickBooks detected no problems with your data: Your data is all good.
  • An error message: Search for it on our QuickBooks Desktop support site on how to fix it.
  • Your data has lost integrity: Data damage found. You need to rebuild your data.

After verifying your company data, proceed with rebuilding the data.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, then Utilities, and then select Rebuild Data.
  2. QuickBooks will ask you to make a backup before it rebuilds your company file. Select OK. A backup is required before you can rebuild.
  3. Choose where you want to save your backup, then select OK. Avoid replacing another backup file. Enter a new name in the File name field and select Save.
  4. Select OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
  5. Click File on the menu bar, then select Utilities.
  6. Select Verify Data again to check for additional damage.
