Question

Saving invoices as pdf - resulting pdf rendering is off center

When I process client invoices, I do not print. Rather, I save as a pdf. The invoice looks perfect in the print preview, but when I open the pdf, the invoice is off center - cutting off most of the amount column. Nothing I've tried in either Adobe or QB has solved the issue. I've attached an invoice for your reference.

We have steps to troubleshoot and fix your printing issue in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), barbdi62. I'll guide you through the process below.

QuickBooks has tools to help with your invoice printing trouble. We can start by running the QuickBooks Print & Print Repair Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. We recommend using this on Windows 10, 64-bit, for the best experience. To do this, here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.3) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub (if you haven't already).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  6. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  7. Select QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. It will take about a minute to run.
  8. Print, email, or save as a PDF from QuickBooks Desktop again.

If this matter continues, perform other solutions provided in this article, starting with Solution 2Fix PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

Additionally, once your customer pays your invoices, record the payments so your accounts stay balanced.
