I am confused about why my screen changes on different days when I log in... Yesterday when I logged in I had a home screen that had all the extra options on the top of the screen, today it is just the basic menu.  It does this every few log ins.  I log in and out the same way every day.  I am just curious as to why it does this.

There's a few different settings that control what you see when reopening your books.

 

Here's a list of them:
 

  • Save when closing company
  • Don't save the desktop
  • Save current desktop
  • Keep previously saved desktop
  • Show Home page when opening a company file

 

You'll be able to find each one of these settings, along with additional display preferences, in the Desktop View section of your Preferences screen.

 

 

Here's how to find these settings and make changes to them:
 

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Edit, then Preferences.
  2. Access your Desktop View area.
  3. If you'd like to make any changes to the setup you're currently working with, make them, then select OK.
