sending invoices

I sent a dummy invoice from QB Desktop to my email.  I got the email but no invoice.  How do I fix this?  

Another issue is that I cannot use my yahoo email address. I was told by someone at QB customer service a couple of months ago to use Gmail instead, which is super inconvenient.  Is there some way I can use yahoo?  The bigger issue though is getting my invoice to send.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for bringing your concern to our attention, @shaggycatt. It's my goal to ensure you'll be able to send invoices using your Yahoo email address in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

If you've received the test email you sent but found no invoice was attached, it's likely due to a temporary data issue. To address this, we can use the Verify and Rebuild tool. It examines your company file for any data damage contributing to the problem and initiates necessary repairs. Before doing so, ensure to update QBDT to the latest release.

Moreover, you have the option to add your Yahoo email account to QBDT and designate it as the default sender for invoices. To do that:

 

  1. Go to Edit and select Preferences.
  2. Click Send Forms on the left sidebar and navigate to the My Preferences tab.
  3. Choose Web Mail as the email provider.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select Yahoo from the drop-down list of email providers and enter your email address.
  6. Click OK twice.
