Server & Company data File - Not Connecting

Hi, We have a server and 3 workstations that use POS v19. We had an internet problem last week and was able to get 2 out of the 3 working and communicating with the server. For some reason, the 3rd computer won't connect. I specify the server name and company name that is on the other 2 and it doesn't connect. We've had IT guy out here, and he updated QB, Windows, verified the connection and firewall settings are the same on all 3, but can't seem to figure out why the 3rd computer won't connect. 

We also tried deleting the files in the C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 folder, as per an article I read here, as well as renaming the WSActivity file in C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0\Ini. 


Nothing worked. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm here to provide insights about connecting QuickBooks POS v19.

 

Please be aware that QB POS has been discontinued since October 3rd, 2023. While you can still use the product, please note that you will no longer receive security patch updates and payments, as well as connected services will no longer be available. As a result, you may experience some issues when trying to connect.

 

Moreover, can you please confirm how many licenses you have? One possible reason why you are unable to connect to the 3rd workstation could be due to the number of available licenses.

 

To resolve this issue, you can free up a license for the 3rd workstation by shutting down any additional workstations that are not currently in use. Additionally, you can check if the 3rd workstation is set up to multi-user mode and consider switching it to single-user mode.

Yes, we are well aware of the EOS and we have a solution already, just need this to work until the solution is installed.

This sounds like a similar problem we're having.  We have a server and 2 workstations and we cannot connect to the server on either workstation.  We have done all the updates, checked the firewall.

We have run into the same problem. we have 11 pos workstations and the proper licensing for them. Today some just stopped connecting. The firewalls are off. I can ping the pos server by name and ip. I can do run and \\servername and get the shared on the system.  If i kick them all off one will log back in reliably but the others will not. Did anyone find a problem/solution? One thing i would like to try is telnet to the ports the pos server uses to verify it is not a network problem can anyone help we white them.
