Show subitems on cash receipt . Business is restaurant want to enter item "Sales" and subitems such as food and be able to enter amount for subitem

We understand the importance of using some features in our QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) program without issues. If you mean by the cash receipt is when using the Receive payments feature after you send an invoice to your customer. Then, the option to add or show the subitems is currently unavailable. You'll want to send feedback to our product developers so they can get to know this feature and may add this in future product updates.

Here's how:

1. In QuickBooks Desktop, click on Help at the top.
2. Select Send Feedback Online.
3. Enter your product suggestion.
4. Then select Send Feedback to confirm.

Additionally, you'll want to utilize the Sales Receipt to allocate the items and subitems with their total amount. Then, you may customize its template with the details you and save it so you can use it again in the future. Please check the following articles for references:
