Question
Sloshing of monies by one client between companies
Hello Community,,
This is more how to go about a data entry for monies being erratically spent and deposited.
I have a client who has two LLCs of which he is the sole member. I'm having the darndest time getting him to keep these monies separate between himself, personal banking, and between his two companies. I know how to go about having it set up. It's just getting him to abide by it. These transactions are from the previous year.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to account for the sloshing of funds from one banking/credit card account to another among the three entities. I'll give you examples. If you can tell me how to record the entries for these I would be most appreciative.
Deposit to the personal account for work done for a company.
Deposit to a company account from personal or a business's account to cover the other company's expenses.
Credit card expenses on business card that belong to other business or that are personal
Credit card expenses on a personal card for a business.
Rental deposit to wrong checking or wrong business account that belongs against a rent invoice for a tenant
I've got two QB Desktop companies with his personal checking in one of them along with two other business checking accounts. That business is a real estate LLC with one rental property in the LLC and two rental properties that are not in the LLC.
The other LLC is a construction company.
Thank you all for any help with these recording of transactions.
