Someone should tell Intuit they are losing customers with no QBO to TTB compatibility.

This isn't a rant.  Just an attempt to get someone who may have access to anyone at management level to pass on some information.  I see in the help forum that under, "how to import data from QBO to Turbotax Business' there is a very long thread of people like me wondering why this isn't fixed.  I just bought QBO only to learn that this doesn't work.  So I too, like so many on that thread, will no longer use Intuit products as they are deliberately misleading customers as they claim that TT and QB are seamless.  No clarity that only QBDT actually does that.  So I'm out the money and that is why Intuit has lost one more customer.  If anyone cares, they might want to pen a letter to anyone they think might care and see if anything can be changed.  Otherwise, I guess TaxAct will keep getting their business.  Rightfully so.  It's a shame as I really liked Turbotax, but now that I have to go input all my QB data manually, I don't like em so much.  I know.  Man shouting at the sky.  Just thought it might be worth mentioning and shedding a light on this.  Cheers.

    I see that many users, like you, want to directly integrate QuickBooks Online (QBO) with Turbo Tax. We listen to our customers' voices and take their feedback into account when improving or adding new programs.

     

    Meanwhile, let's download a free trial edition of the desktop program and migrate or convert the data to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here is an article that describes the procedure in detail: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

     

    After the conversion, follow these steps to transfer your QuickBooks data to TurboTax Business. Here's how:

     

    1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and go to the File menu.
    2. Select Import and choose From Accounting Software.
    3. Choose QuickBooks (2023) and click Continue.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

    Also, run your reports for both programs to make sure all the information is accurate. You may save the Community link as a favorite in your browser for later access.     Completely Agree.  Hard to believe a company does not support a product they own.  I fell into the same trap and now will have to deal with customer service to get my money back for TTB.

    After talking to several QBO support team individuals, It appears this state is still the same -- no support for TTB or TT Premier to import from QBO online.

     

    I am a recent user of the QBO online quick-start subscription, suitable to a residential rental with 2 units (no AP, payroll, etc.).  Migrating to the QBO desktop is 4x the cost with additional bundled features I won't use.   I can not justify paying the higher costs.  The work-around to migrate data to a trial QBO desktop, then import to TT,  worked to test the process out.  When I need to do the process to complete the 2024 taxes, the trial will be expired and I am stuck. QBO support team advises a new computer to fresh install another trial QBO.  This isn't viable to do long term.

    You can use the trial version of QBD 2024 Enterprise for good without reinstall anything to migrate your data from QBO to TT. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for details.
