Switching Accountants

You have to ask your accountant to transfer the Primary Admin role to you as the first step. If they refuse to do so, Intuit won't bother getting involved in your dispute.You can purchase a 3rd party service to secure your core data and migrate it to your new QBO account as a workaround.

Please know that you'll want to inform your accountant so they can remove you from their ProAdvisor discount plan and transfer the Primary admin access back to you.

If you're ready to add your new accountant to your company, these are the steps:

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
2. On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon and then select Manage users.
3. Select the Accountants or Accounting firms tab.
4. Enter your accountant’s email address, then select Invite.
