Let me shed some light on transactions created by system administration in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Rudy111.

Transactions created by system administrations show when changes are made automatically by QuickBooks. This happens for several reasons, here are the following:

  • If you modify a record, it may have an impact on another record. For instance, if you alter a payment and associate it with a different invoice, you might notice a System Administration event that records the change made to the initial invoice.

  • When you integrate a third-party application with QuickBooks, any data that is sent from the app or any changes made to your existing data will be recorded as a System Administration event in QuickBooks.

  • If you set up a recurring transaction, like a regular expense, QuickBooks will automatically add it to your records. This will trigger an event in the audit log called "System Administration."

  • Automated events can be set up to occur even when you are not logged in. An example of this is a System Administration event, which can notify you of any updates to your bank feeds.

Moreover, we can also view transaction changes in the audit history to trace who accessed the account using your supported browser.
