Is there a way to continue with a discounted subscription through Tech Soup after the one year initial period? When I try to pay for another year's subscription on Tech Soup it says each organization can only request the [rodict once in the lifetime of the organization.

Hello there, rp443.

I'm here to share more information about reactivating a cancelled subscription.

The discounted price is only available for the first-time subscriber. If you want to continue using your account, you'll pay the regular rate.

Also, when your QuickBooks account is inactive after a year, your data will be deleted. Once you decide to use the subscription again, you'll have to purchase a different one and start from scratch. You can check this link as your guide in resubscribing to QuickBooks Online: Resubscribe to QuickBooks.

You can also check this guide that has the lists of the different QuickBooks versions: QuickBooks Online Pricing & Plans.

I'll be around whenever you need help subscribing to QuickBooks.

Techsoup's subscription details page for the $75/year discount subscription says this:

"To continue access to QuickBooks Online after the initial year of your subscription ends, Intuit requires that we reconfirm your eligibility each year. If you do not reconfirm your eligibility in time or are no longer eligible, Intuit will contact you to either convert to the full retail price or disable your account.

TechSoup will send you reminders 30, 15, and 5 days before your subscription is set to expire. The reminders will tell you about the actions you can take to renew or end your subscription. Renewal will incur a $75 admin fee."

That seems to contradict the above assertion that the discount subscription is only available for one year.

Hi there, @cedric11. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I apologize for any confusion this has caused you.

I agree with your statement regarding TechSoup's subscription details. Also, my colleague's response also aligns with the TechSoup process in QuickBooks Online.

To further elaborate on the issue, the code that gives them their “free” company is only good for one use. If they click on it after using it the first time, they’ll be directed to sign up for an additional QBO company with the standard offering pricing. It’ll include a trial and they’ll be prompted to enter payment info.

TechSoup will review your eligibility and process your renewal request to ensure that your subscription is renewed. You may receive automated emails from TechSoup reminding you of your upcoming renewal date, but rest assured that your service will continue uninterrupted as long as you have submitted the renewal request to TechSoup.
