Texas Tax Number

It's asking me for a 9 digit texas tax account number to confirm my tax info and set up online tax payments.

 

My account number with the Texas Comptroller website is an 11 digit number.  

 

I do have a Texas Secretary of State File number that's 9 digits, but when I input that, it gives me the error "Enter a 9-digit valid account number"

 

Please help!

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! I will be happy to help! I am curious: did you include the dashes when entering the information? If this is the case, it would register as the wrong format.

 

In addition, it could be that QuickBooks needs the  Texas Workplace Commission Tax Account Number (TWC) since that is nine digits.

 

If the situation continues, it would be best to contact the state in order to get the proper number.
