Hi,

I cannot for the life of me, register Quickbooks (Desktop) 2024 on my new Mac.

I have: Intuit Quickbooks Plus Annual Subsrciption Premier.

A few weeks ago, I got my new laptop and downloaded and installed Quickbooks 2024.  I migrated the company file from the Desktop to the Macbook.  It lets me open and work on the file and all works great, but keeps saying "YOu have 15 more uses of Quickbooks blah blah blah"

So I click on Register and I type in my LIcense number and Product Number and it just says "Invalid Number" so I click on Register Later and I can keep using the program.

I don't see the option to DE-Authorize on the woldWindows laptop so I can register it on the new Macbook.

I can still open Quickbooks on this previous PC and it works fine and gives no account issues but obviously the company file is old now since I am working from the new Macbook.

PLEASE HELP all the guides online are wrong and stupid.

Thanks.

I'm here to provide you the information you need in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to Mac.

It's important to note that your annual subscription is uniquely designed for compatibility with QBDT Premier for Windows computers only and cannot be transferred for use on QBDT for Mac due to differences in the software. This is why if you try to register the product on a new MacBook, you will receive an "Invalid number" message.

In addition, if you've used a trial to move your company file or have an existing QBDT for Mac plan and it's nearing expiration, a message will appear indicating "You have 15 more uses left." It is essential to keep track of your usage count, as once it reaches zero, you will be unable to access the program.

Furthermore, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac is no longer offered to new subscribers in the United States. The deadline to purchase a new subscription was September 30, 2024. However, existing users will still be able t to renew their subscription. To know more about these changes, check out this article: Can't buy QuickBooks Desktop as a new US subscriber.

In the meantime, you can continue using your previous computer to get back to work. To ensure that you're company file is up-to-date, you can manually reenter the newly added data or migrate your QBDT Mac file to Windows again.

On the other hand, if wish to access the program in your new machine, consider using cloud hosting services.

Lastly, to help manage your QuickBooks Desktop account and services using Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs), I recommend reading this article: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

Feel free to reach out with any further questions regarding the migration of your company file from QuickBooks Desktop to Mac. I'm here to assist you. Take care.

So I am completely locked out of my Quickbooks company file on my brand new computer?  This is completely unacceptable and is disturbing my business.

You offered no solution except to say that there is no solution.  What exactly am I supposed to do now if I cannot buy the Mac version?  Why was this not stated in the Convert Quickbooks Windows files to Mac tutorials on this website???

@BaylightContracting

When did you purchase your Premier Plus license? Last week?

You can't use the license code of QB Desktop 2024 Windows on QB Desktop 2024 Mac. You need to run Parallels on your Mac to use QB Desktop Premier Plus. Otherwise, you should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and they can share a workaround for your case.
