Trying to approve time and I get this error Error exporting error code: 6310, QB detail: You must select Customer on timesheet marked as Billable. (ts_id: 27964800)?

I am new to QBO. I can assure you that I have selected a customer, a date and duration, selected billable, added notes and saved. I decided to delete and recreate each entry. As I recreated one I'd try to approve time again and it would then name a different entry with the same error. After I'd recreated the whole weeks timesheet it went back to the beginning and gave me this error on the first entry all over again.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Mike. I'll help you resolve the issue when exporting in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

You can go to QuickBooks Time. From there, go to the preferences and ensure to uncheck the billable check mark.

 

Here's how:

 

  1.  At the top right, select QuickBooks. 
  2. Go to the Preferences.
  3. Select the billable option (also check to Require Billable Yes/No if you would like this field required). 

 

Once done, go back to QB time, then import changes. You can then try to export again.

I am getting the same error.  I reached out this week and was able to getting past this error with QBs help.  However, the error is back again for approving time.  The error did not start until I put in a new option year for the contract we are supporting.  It is like the new contract year has some kind of linking issue back to the time keeping portion.

Error 6310 occurs when you export a timesheet marked as billable but haven't selected a customer. That said, ensure a customer is assigned to the billable entries before exporting again.

To do that:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Enter a brief description of your concern in the search field.
  3. Select Contact Us.
