Unable to delete bank transaction

Hi, 

 

The system shows that I have partially matched the transaction. Therefore, I would like to ask how to find this partial match transaction and delete it. So that, I can remove the bank transaction. Thank you.

Hello there. Thank you for reaching out. I have all the steps you need to delete your bank transactions and locate the matched entry. 

 

Yes, excluding or deleting partially matched transactions in QuickBooks is unavailable. To delete this bank transaction, you'll need to go to the For Review tab and Add them there. Please see the attached screenshot for visual reference.

 

 

Then, let's undo the accepted or matched entries from the Categorized tab. Here's the step-by-step guide:

 

  1. Head to the Transactions menu, then the Categorized tab.
  2. Select the transactions you want to remove.
  3. Click Undo, then Continue. 

 

  

The entry will go back to the For Review tab. Let's click the Exclude button to remove them from the list and Delete them. See the sample screenshot below.

I have tried this method before, but it is not working. Unfortunately, I do think I have partially matched this transaction before.

The QBO software ensures data accuracy and integrity. This explains why partially matched transactions cannot be directly deleted, as doing so would risk accidental removals and potential discrepancies in financial statements.

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click on Help (?) at the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. Tap on Search, then select Contact Us.
