I'll help you export your payroll in QuickBooks Online, @MMAOD

Frequent access to web pages or damaged cache data in a browser can cause odd behavior when exporting payroll in QuickBooks. To determine why you encounter the "please try back later" error when exporting payroll, let's open your account in a private browser to see if we experience the same issue. It will help us confirm whether the problem is related to the browser, as this mode doesn't use existing cache data.

Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Then, go back and export your payroll. If it works, we can clear your browser's cache to delete those temporarily stored files and free some space on your browser's data. You can also do this task on other supported, up-to-date browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox. For detailed instructions in exporting payroll data, see this article: Export your payroll data into QuickBooks.

However, if the issue persists after trying the steps above, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account and investigate the error you're receiving. To reach them, click this link: Contact Payroll Support.

I will also include these resources to guide you with your tasks as you plan your year-end payroll work in QuickBooks:
