I am unable to log in to Quickbooks.  It says to contact the administrator and I am the administrator.  Agree with past posts.  Very frustrating.

Thanks for chiming in! Let's go ahead and try running QuickBooks Desktop as admin. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Desktop icon and right-click.
  2. Choose the option Run as Administrator. 
  3. Accept changes if mentioned and relog back in.

 

Let me know how that solution goes. However, if it is still not working and you have followed the "I forgot my password" route and the "Automated password reset tools" my colleagues suggested throughout past posts, it would be best to connect with our Support Team. Asked for new password; I went to my Intuit Account and updated password; still can't open the company file.

I have three accounts. three different emails. no mater what account i want to look at it brings to the wrong one.  I want to see my alma vida account and it brings me alma clinic.

It's important to use recommended browsers and keep them updated for optimal compatibility and functionality while accessing QBO. Here are the supported browsers and their latest versions: 

 

- Google Chrome: version 78 or newer

 - Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer 

- Microsoft Edge: version 79 or newer 

- Safari: version 12 or newer (Mac only)

 - Opera: version 68 or newer

 - Samsung: version 10 or newer

I can’t sign in. My employer has adjusted my  access to Workforce. I need to regain access.

I want to make sure you're able to access your QuickBooks Workforce account.

 

If you're unable to login due to changes made by your employer I recommend reaching out to let them know you're currently unable to login. Otherwise, here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot Workforce login issues:

 

  • If you already have a QuickBooks Workforce account with a different employer, make sure to give your new employer the same email address.
  • If you have access to QuickBooks Online, you’ll need to use a different email address for your QuickBooks Workforce account. We recommend using your work email address for QuickBooks Online and your personal email for Workforce.
  • Your invite is valid for up to 30 days from when it was sent.  If it’s been longer than 30 days, have your employer send you a new invite. 
  • If your employer had to resend your invite, make sure to open the most recent invite.
