Question

Unauthorized access to QB online

I converted from Desktop to Online about one month ago.  I just received several emails from QB telling me that access to my account by a third party has been removed.  I didn't recognize the name of this company and had only invited my accountant and a partner to my account.

I searched the name of the company and they are a QB reseller.  I am awaiting a return phone call from them but the receptionist indicated that they do work for QB.  She also indicated they get a lot of these calls?

I am thinking that perhaps they were involved in helping with the migration of my data to QB online.

If they were involved in the migration that would be OK but you'd think they would let me know ahead of time.  If not, then we have a problem.

Good afternoon, @9341452166167390

I appreciate you reaching out to the Community with your concerns. We're always here to make sure that your account is secure and you have your privacy as a customer with QuickBooks Online.

Can you provide me with the third-party's name that was brought up?

This will help us determine if we need to do some further digging on how they had access to your account or a quick answer of your business. I'll be waiting for your response!
