Uncategorized Income in my Forecast

Good afternoon all, 

 

Last week I set up a forecast for this year and I entered $1M as our expected revenue (account 700). Yesterday I printed our forecast for the 3rd quarter, for the first 3 quarters of 2024 and one through the 4th quarter of 2024. The 3rd quarter and the 3 quarters are fine but there is $1M in revenue (700) + another $1M in uncategorized income (4999) in the 4th quarter in the printed report that does not show on the actual forecast. Issue is that it doubles my income. I tried making 4999 inactive, but it doesn't remove it. Any ideas?

It's possible that there's a data issue in your company file causing the discrepancy in the report. This is why the printed forecast report doesn't match the actual forecast.

 

To fix this, we can perform some troubleshooting steps in the program. To start, update QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. Doing this can fix minor issues within your company file and ensure you have the latest available improvements.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click Update Now, then Get Updates.
  3. Close and reopen QuickBooks.

 

If you're still getting the same results, I recommend running the Verify and Rebuild Data Tools. This can help find the most common issues in a company file and use the rebuild tool to fix them.

If the issue persist, you can run the repair tool for QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

 

Moreover, you can customize reports in QuickBooks to get a better view of your business and finances.
