Has anyone ever used 2 UOM in QB? I am looking to have one unit of measure on the order, and have another on the Pick ticket? and when the sales order is invoiced to keep the original UOM on invoice. Example, have 100 KG on the sales order, but print our 220 Lbs on the pick ticket and when invoiced to have 100 KG.

I recognize the urgency for creating sales orders with units of measure into your invoices with QuickBooks. Let me share information on how to use a unit of measure, @Dimitris.

You can convert units of measure by doing it manually. First, you will create the sales order in kilograms. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Customers menu, then choose Create Sales Orders.
  2. From the Customer: Job drop-down, select a customer or customer job.
  3. Fill in the relevant information at the top of the form like the Date and S.O. No.
  4. In the detail area, select the items and set the unit measure as kilograms.
  5. Hit Save and Close.

Once you send it for picking, edit the estimate and convert its unit of measure from kilograms to pounds. Then, print the pick list.

  1. Go to the Customers menu, then choose Sal
    es Orders Fulfillment Worksheet
    .
  2. Locate and open the sales order in the Dashboard menu, then choose the convert to pounds option from U/M drop-down.
  3. Hit Save and close, then select Send for picking from the Action column.
  4. Head to the Pick tab, select the sales order and choose Print picklist from the Action column.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

After that, we'll have change the unit of measure to kilograms upon converting the sales order to invoice.

  1. Go to the Customers menu, then choose Customer Center.
  2. Pick a customer, then open the sales order under the Transactions tab.
  3. Click Create Invoice at the top.
  4. Choose Create invoices for all of the sales or Create invoices for selected items, then hit OK.
  5. Select the convert to kilograms option from U/M drop-down.
  6. Click Save and close.
