Update and Update company file

Hello Quickbooks Community,

 

we have Updated our Quickbooks Desktop Version 2024 and now we have to make Company file update. We are not able to choose anything else. After a few minutes we receive the message:

 

Quickbooks found a problem with the acct..... This contains sensitive informatin and must be fixed.

 

The support article leads us to the normal Quickbooks website and is no help.

After a few minutes the upgrade is closed and we can only start the Upgrade again and receive the same message and the programm is closed.

 

We would like to fix the problem. However we are not able to log in because of this Company file Update / updgrade.

Does someone have a solution for this problem?

Can you open the sample file without any issue?

Can you restore any backup file?

Hello 4 Gal,

 

I cannot open a file or restore a backup. Quickbooks always wants me to Update the company file.

Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2023 to isolate the problem.

I'll ensure you're able to fix the update message of your company file and log it to your account seamlessly,  @Doro9.

 

To start, let's make sure that you access QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) as the administrator. Here's how:

 

  1. Locate the QBDT icon on your desktop.
  2. Hover over your cursor and right-click.
  3. Then, choose Run as Administrator.

 

Check if you can now update the file and access your account without issue. If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our Phone support team via web browser to further investigate the issue. This might also caused by an expired license that needs to be activated. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Contact us link.
  2. Next, select QuickBooks Desktop and click Continue.
  3. Select your product's edition and enter a brief description of your concern.
  4. Then, click Continue.
  5. Log in to your Intuit account and follow on steps to proceed.

I think we have to contact the support. The mentioned solutions did not work.
