URGENT- what field do I add to an invoice template to show the sales tax jurisdiction

I need a customer's invoice to show the sales tax jurisdiction, not just the amount.

You can't get the sales tax item name to print on an invoice but you can get the sales tax item's description to print, which may be even better.

 

To do this, edit the invoice template and turn off the sales tax printing on the footer:

 

Then the invoice will start printing like this, showing the tax item's description:

  6. Click OK button.

If I only had one sales tax jurisdiction this would work but I have hundreds. I cannot make a seperate template for each jurisdiction. I need the template to be dynamic - it needs to pick up the sales tax "item" name.

 

All you did was change the title of the sales tax data field.

    A sales tax jurisdiction on sales transactions in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) can benefit you and your business, @kimbre623.

     

    A dynamic template for entering sales tax data will surely be a great feature of our product. That said, I advise you to send your suggestion to our Development team. This way, they can review your suggestion and possibly include it in future updates.

     

    Here's how:

     

    1. From the top menu bar, choose Send Feedback Online.
    2. Click on Product Suggestion.
    3. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
    4. Select the Product Area, then enter your thoughts and suggestions.
    5. Once done, select Send Feedback.
