Warning ⚠ [Error 3441,StatusCode -11118] QuickBooks could not load the company file.

I've been asked about an odd issue at work. Someone we know has two licenses for QB Desktop 2024. The second computer accesses the business file stored on the first computer. On both computers they open the business file and keep getting this error message:

 

Warning

⚠ [Error 3441,StatusCode -11118] QuickBooks could not load the company file.
This may be caused by missing or damaged files.

Here's how to fix this problem:
Go to File menu> Utilities> Click Rebuild Data. If the error persists,

Contact Intuit Support: 1-848-207-3993

 

Someone tried going to Utilities, Rebuild Data, and QuickBooks says the data is fine but the error message keeps popping up every few minutes, anyway. Tried calling the support number and Intuit wanted a lot of money to fix it. However, it seems as if the business file is OK. The employees are able to do things while the file is loaded but keep getting this warning error message over and over for some reason.

Don't call that number! It's scam and your QB program is infected.

Can you log into CAMPS and find your license code there?

    I'll talk to my manager and we will see about checking on the licensing per your suggestion. Just Googling about QB infections I see there is something called QBMaker which we might need to check for on the computers.

    3. Click Report tech support scams.
