I can help you troubleshoot issues you may be facing while creating an account on your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Iringo.

Please know that for Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus versions, you can only add up to 250 accounts, while the Advanced version allows for unlimited accounts. See this article to learn more about the maximum numbers of some features: Learn about usage limits in QuickBooks Online.

If you have not reached the maximum account limit and still can't create a new account, it may be due to browser-related issues. To resolve this, we can log in to your QBO account using a private browsing window that doesn't record history or data. Use these keyboard shortcuts:

• For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P
• For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
• For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, go to your Chart of Accounts and try creating an asset or liability account. If it works, I recommend clearing the default browser's cache. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
