Hello there, Erin.

I see the challenges you're facing when transferring data from your old QBO account to the new one. I'm here to help resolve this.

To move your existing data from the old account to the new one, you'll have to Export them to Excel and save them to your computer. Then, import it to your new QuickBooks account to transfer your files.

Export data from the original company:

  1. In your existing QBO account, click the Gear icon and select Export data.
  2. In the Reports tab, select the date range and choose the report you want to export.
  3. Click Export to Excel.
  4. Then, go to the Lists tab and choose CustomersEmployees, and Vendors, then click Export to Excel.

You can find more detailed information in this article: Export reports, lists, and more.

After completing the process, save the data to your computer and then import it into your new QBO account.

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Import data.
  2. Select the data you want to import.
  3. Hit the Browser button and select the file you export.
  4. Click Next, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Additionally, check out this article that provides some frequently asked questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Please know you can always count on me if you need further help transferring your data. I'm just a post away.

Do you need to migrate data from an old QBO US account to a new QBO US account, or else?

How did you try to migrate it?
